The Color of a diamond is based on a scale of D-Z, with D being colorless (preferred) and Z being yellow or brown. The GIA color scale evaluates the colors as follows:

D-F: Colorless

G-J: Near Colorless

K-M: Faint Yellow

M-Z: Yellow/Brown

However, D-I are considered "face-up" colorless.
